Modern
Precision Engineering was founded in Jan 1990, by partners Cecil and Alan
Blackburn.
The main activities of the business at the outset were to manufacture, Jigs
and Fixtures, Machined Parts and Spares.
After 5 years trading the company moved to it's current 8500sq premises
on Newton Aycliffe Industrial Park. The move was to enable the company to
become more involved in the area of special purpose machine building.
The company has since found a niche in the market for producing stand alone
units used in automation, semi-automation, and testing.
A steady growth in this area as been achieved since then and as a result,
Modern Precision Engineering has recently opened a specific CAD design centre
to support its machine building activities.
Company growth has been achieved due to the skill and flexibility of all
the companies staff, with a constant eye on the quality and aesthetics of
our products. |
